When we tell you that as a business, not being on Google+ could turn out to be a big mistake, you’re probably thinking something like this:

“I’m having enough trouble keeping up with Facebook and Twitter!  I do not need another social network. Go sell crazy somewhere else, GLAD WORKS!”

And a little while ago, we would have told you to focus your efforts on Facebook and/or Twitter if that’s what’s been working for you. But things are different now.

Like, who in their right mind would pay $15 for a Tinker Bell snow cone at Disney on Ice?  It’s ICE!  Stand close enough to the rink and the skaters will kick some out right at you!

How do kids get their parents to do these things?

It’s persistence. It’s confidence.  It’s enthusiasm. It’s learning what works and what doesn’t.

Nerds and Hot Models Making Out! Is There Such a Thing as Bad Buzz?

This year’s Super Bowl seems to have generated more buzz than in years past. Advertisers are coming back full force, spending upward of $4 million for a 30-second spot. That’s up 90% from a decade ago!  This year more than in years past, we noticed quite a bit of buzz building even before the Super Bowl. People are even still talking about the ads a few days later!

Advertisers seem to be raising the bar, and many people who previously did not care about the game are pulling up a chair to see the commercials (and the half time show, of course).

We’ve interviewed our friend Melissa Lion, a blogger, professional marketer, and working mom who has created an app called Five Plates. Five Plates is designed to help other working moms (and busy people in general) prepare fast, healthy, well-balanced weeknight meals.
