We recently posted an article we found on Mashable on our Twitter and Facebook pages. It was about the biggest social media snafus of the year and we thought you might enjoy reading it. But then, we thought, WAIT! We should talk about some of these on the blog!
It’s always fun to laugh at the failures of others, right?
Well, not really, but we can certainly learn from them so that we don’t make the same mistakes ourselves, so that’s what we’re going to do today.
It just dawned on us that you guys come here to read our blog (because it’s your favorite and you love it) but we don’t ever mention what blogs and websites WE like to visit! There’s a lot of great stuff out there that helps keep us inspired and on top of trends and new technology, so today we thought it might be fun to share some of our favorite websites with all of you.
We dare you not to get sucked into these! They’re full of good stuff--even if you don’t work in the industry!
One of the biggest and most anticipated improvements in the iPhone 5 revolves around the camera. Smartphones in general have become the de facto "point and shoot" that people carry around, and why not? They're always in our hands/pockets/purses anyway, so why bother with anything else?
In the past, the answer to that question basically boiled down to "because they take better pictures." So when Apple says they're upgrading the iPhone camera, people listen! I know I was super stoked about it, iPhone Life-ers! And I still am, except for one thing: low light photography.
We’ve seen it a million times if we’ve seen it once, GLAD WORKS friends. A business owner spends a lot of time and money getting an email marketing campaign together only to have it do a big giant belly flop into the FAIL pool.
It’s a shame when that happens and it makes us cry real tears of sorrow and regret because we know what could have saved that campaign. We could have helped. But all those failures have not happened for nothing because we’ve studied them and learned from them. Today, we will impart some of that wisdom.
What would a holiday blog post be without a roundup of some kind or another?
We think it would be lame and not at all festive. It would be tragic.
So today we’re going to talk about some of our favorite GLAD WORKS moments of 2012. And we’re going to be really shameless and selfish about it too because we’re only going to talk about cool stuff that happened to US this year.
