Fun Stuff Friday!
Whoa! It's Friday again already? How did that happen?
Even though the week went by in a flash, we still managed to put together our list of fun stuff for you because we like you a lot and we want you to start your weekend off right. Enjoy!
Kristen:
Check out Bill Nye, Rachel Zoe and Hannah Hart of My Drunk Kitchen in videos from a web series by Barilla pasta. Science, fashion and pasta all together! I cannot love this more!
Kyle:
Recently, Anheuser-Busch announced that it would change the name of its most popular beer from “Budweiser" to “America.” It’s a gutsy move considering the wide recognition of the Budweiser brand, and the fact that Anheuser-Busch is no longer American owned. It has been confirmed that this will be a temporary change as a acknowledgment of the presidential election. I think it's going to be interesting to see how consumers will react to such a bold name change of their beloved beer.
I also came across this great campaign for Clearasil. It takes an interesting approach to getting the attention of teens.
Mattie:
I love packaging design, so these awards for the best designs of 2016 are a lot of fun to look at. It's great to see the trends and the types of innovative solutions people come up with while still making the packaging attractive to consumers.
Trish:
Color is fascinating, and Pantone rules the roost. This year, for the first time, Pantone chose 2 colors for 2016: rose quartz and a blue called serenity. Here's how colors come to be selected as 'colors of the year.'
